Teacher Finds $11K On Road Returns It To Police

Sherry Whitesides was driving down the street with her 12 year old son when out of no where, $100 bills came flying at them.  Whitesides and her son picked up all the money, a money bag, and a bank receipt for the money.  In the money bag was the owner’s drivers license and credit cards.  Whitesides went to the bank but it was closed.  She then took the money to the police department, who discovered that it was $11,000.

Police contacted the owner of the money and he had not realized that it had blown off of the car.  The money was returned to the owner and Whitesides has not heard a word from him.  Whitesides says that the whole returning of the money was to teach her son about doing the right thing.
