The Florida Supreme Court heard arguments last week from attorneys representing the state and attorneys representing public employees over the legislatures 2011 changes to the Florida Retirement System.  These changes included changing it to a contributory system with a required 3% contribution for the first time ever, upping the number of years required to retire and raising the retirement age.  The Supreme Court is the last court in the appeals chain for this case and should return a decision in several months.  For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:
