New Scrutiny For School Workers

It’s a new scrutiny for school workers in Massachusetts.  Starting this month with some school districts and the rest to follow shortly, all district school employees will start being fingerprinted and having national background checks run.  Massachusetts is the last state to start fingerprinting and running FBI checks on all applicants and employees.  This will enable school districts to get background checks on employees and potential employees from throughout the country.  The employees are going to be required to pay for the background checks.  For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:
