Miami-Dade Public Schools won the Broad Prize and school workers and PTA members celebrate

It was announced today that the Miami-Dade School District has finally won the Broad Prize after being a runner up 5 previous years.  The announcement came in New York from US Education Secretary Arne Duncan.  The Prize, considered the top Education Award in the US is given to urban school districts that have shown the biggest improvement and closed achievement gaps for poor and minority students.  For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:
