Home Teacher News Florida Virtual School Lays Off Hundreds As Enrollment Plummets

With a 32% drop in enrollment, the Florida Virtual School has had to lay off 625 part time and 177 full time professors.  The school which has never before experienced a decline in enrollment, is not sure what is the cause, but believes it is due in part to change in legislation which changed the allocation of funds for students attending virtual schools.
