Florida Teacher Scoring Confuses Teachers

Boyko who challenges his students to be successful received a minus 10.23 percent on the grading system for teachers.  The system uses scores from the FCAT tests, even if that teacher does not teach a subject tested on FCAT.  Many other Teacher of the Year recipients and finalists from the bay area scored low on these VAM (Value-Added Model) grades.  Stephanie Martanovic from Pinellas received a minus 41.42 percent.
