Governor Rick Scott signed a sweeping education bill into law on Monday.  The law will undo changes made just three years ago and high school students will no longer have to take and pass Algebra II, unless they want a Scholar designation on their diploma.  They can also get a Merit designation on their diploma by completing a certification in at least one career field.  For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:
