A Florida House Sub-Committee on Education voted this week to allow teachers and other school employees appointed by the principal, to carry firearms on campus.  The law is opposed by some parent’s groups and the teacher’s union, but is supported by many others.  It would require that the weapon remain on the teacher’s body throughout the day.  The bill has to make it through 3 more committees before it can be heard by the full house.  For up-to-date news accounts of this story, photos and to post a comment, please access the links below:
