Dear John Letter To Florida From Teacher Of The Year

Dear John Letter to Florida from Teacher of the Year has recommendations on how the state should treat teachers and education.

Megan Allen was Florida’s Teacher of the Year in 2010.  She was then a finalist for National Teacher of the Year.  But the reforms in Florida that target teachers in ways that hurt them and students, caused her to leave the state with low morale.

Allen did a “Dear John” video to the State of Florida when she left.  She didn’t make it public right away, as she felt she was rather rough on Florida.  After over 6 months, she has decided to release the video.  It lists different recommendations for the state on how to treat teachers and deal with education.
